Lowphone

245,00

The Lowphone is an unique bass microphone created with engineers to transform geophone technics into the first low frequencies contact microphone for sound design, field recording and music recording. The Lowphone was designed especially for audio applications after months of R&D to adapt geophone technics to a larger field of uses with factory special mounting (InfraC ® technology). This sub bass audio sensor is very sensitive and can record subtle sub bass from nature soil to urban underground architectures vibrations but also musical instrument like handpan, bass drum, etc.

The lowphone is close to the sismophone but can accept more easily attack transient of direct sound. So it’s more accurate than other geophones used for sound recording. It has less release than the sismophone and more bass fidelity roundness too due to specific modifications we made.

The three adapters supplied with the microphone allow it to be adapted to different materials: magnet for metal, suction cup for smooth surfaces and peak for natural soil

Description

After months of prototyping with factory engineers, we are proud to present the lowphone !  It’s the first and unique bass micro contact in the world with an exclusive technology (infraC) !

The Lowphone is an unique bass microphone created with engineers to transform geophone technics into the first low frequencies contact microphone for sound design, field recording and music recording. The Lowphone was designed especially for audio applications after months of R&D to adapt geophone technics to a larger field of uses with factory special mounting (InfraC© technology). This unique seismic microphone is very sensitive and can record subtle sub bass from nature soil to urban underground architectures vibrations but also musical instrument like handpan, bass drum, etc.

The lowphone is close to the sismophone but can accept more easily attack transient of direct sound. So it’s more accurate than other geophones used for sound recording. It has less release than the sismophone too due to specific modification we made. The frequency range is larger and can reach 1450hz (1000hz for sismophone). The lowest frequency is a little bit up in comparaison to sismophone but start at 27hz (10hz for sismophone) …
